Gentle Morning kit from Gypsy Couture

TimeToSoar_web

Here's my precious little angel Ryan using a brand new kit from Gypsy Couture called GENTLE MORNING.  The alphas are from Lisa's FREE BY THE SEA kit and I just love the soft colours and beautiful elements Lisa has come up with this week.  Both of these kits are from The Digi Chick.

I'm now a hybrid designer!

Hybrid-sale-ad-3

Looky, looky, looky at what I'm getting myself into!  You may have noticed a new little blinkie up the top right hand side of my blog and yes, I now officially have my own little store at ScrapMatters as of today - well it will be going live in US time on the 2nd July (whoo hoo)!  I'm officially a hybrid designer and will be focusing on making up QP's and templates for Kaisercraft albums.  So for all you paper scrappers reading my blog, you can just open these up in a photo-editing program, drop your photos in behind them, print off and cut out and you'll have a ready-made digital page that fits the Kaisercraft albums.  In the future, we'll also start selling other brands like Basic Grey and Maya Road.  I will also be making a range of other goodies such as 12x12 page templates and QP's, some wordart, CU goodies and printables, so this is just the start of something that I've been wanting to dabble in for some time now.

The only goodie that will be in my store today is this quickpage album that I've made for the Kaisercraft scalloped tag album.  I'm still working on the templates for the same album and they'll be in my store very shortly.  I've used one of my favourite boy kits from Anna BV Designs called A POCKETFUL OF TREASURES and I just adore Anna's doodles and grungy style.

Sharond_KSTA_preview_web Sharond_KSTA_sample_web

So in the ScrapMatters store, you can find my designer name down the left hand side under the Designers heading (that's when it goes live shortly - it will be added at the bottom of the current list with a few other fab ladies also joining the hybrid team).  I'll be going by the very original name of SHARON DALE but on my packaging, it will have Digital Creations by Sharon Dale seeing that Digital Creations is this blog name which I've had since I started digi scrapping.

Check out the big ad at the top of this post, as there's a big sale on for the next few days to help celebrate the new hybrid goodies coming to ScrapMatters.  And there's some free with purchase goodies too.  I've helped contribute to the hybrid Grab Bag by making up a little printable that you just whack through your printer and you've got a little goodie bag to use!

So, off I go to get some more things prepared!

Ryan on his first birthday

MyBabyTurned1_web

Here's a pic of my youngest on his first birthday back in April 2006.  Ain't his eyelashes just the longest you've ever seen?  Both the boys have these divine lashes!  This kit was so kindly given to me by Lina of LDrag Designs and it's a recent release of hers FOR JOHN and it's just perfect for my darling boys to be scrapped with!  Lina's stores are at Scrappity Doo Dah and DSO if you wanted to check her kit out.

Isn't this new collab kit between Gypsy Couture and Miss Vivi just adorable!  I just love all the animals, the textures and those 3D alphas are so cool!

And this is the layout I created of my poochy Zak, our then-12 year old Golden Retriever being mischievous for the camera!

The WAY OUT WILD  kit is available at The Digi Chick and Miss Vivi's store at Scrapbook Graphics.

Template is by Dana (missrubikscube) for this week's Sketch Challenge 15/6/09 at The Digi Chick.

Fonts are Problem Secretary and SA Inkspot

Great Father's Day idea

Toolbox_web

Look at this fabulous little box that Kelleigh Ratzlaff has released!

Created with Kelleigh Ratzlaff's new template DADDY'S TOOLBOX, available at The Digi Chick.

Papers and swoosh from NEW DIRECTION range by Dianne Rigdon, available at Scrap Artist

I am going to make another 2 of these so that my boys can give one to their Dad and their to Pa's for Father's Day and maybe make a little mini photo album to go in each one.  Kelleigh has a set of tool templates on her blog with a fabulous mini album she made for her box and I just LOVE it!  So head on over and check out her project and download the template.  Remember you can print her templates off onto your own papers if you don't have a photo editing program.  She has full step-by-step instructions on how she made her toolbox and mini album.

And if you go to her blog post today, there's a whole lot of samples of what her CT have made with the tool box....there's treasure chests and fishing tackle boxes...the girls have been very creative indeed!

Other supplies included:
Shipping tags
Distress ink
Craft wire
Sponge for distressing
Dymo labeller
Metal name plate
Safety pin
Rubons
Words
3D foam tape

Scrapbooks for the bushfire victims

Some of you may remember that one of my good friends Susan Curtin had been co-ordinating an appeal to make scrapbook pages that we could give to the victims of the devastating Victorian bushfire victims.  I got together with Susan to help out, along with Lynne Milley and others made pages at home - thanks  Debbie, Mary and Mum!  We have met at my house a few times and we've made up lots of beautiful pages.  Susan is also co-ordinating the drive with a paper scrapbooking store in Werribee - Scrappe Angels.  So between us all, we've been making lots of pages to be popped into albums that will be given to families of bushfire victims and they can replace some of those precious memories that were lost in the fires.  We're winding things up at the end of June as we now have lots and lots of pages put together in a number of themes.  Here's a couple of photos that I snapped at our first get-together in March.  One picture of some of the pages I'd made and a pic of Susie hard at work!

And thanks ever so much to Donna Loughnan for donating all the patterned paper for us to use.  Alethea also gave us some too (hope I haven't forgotten anyone else, but you've all been so generous).  I managed to get rid of lots of my scraps of paper and cardstock too.  I certainly have more than I could ever use in a lifetime!!

Journalling reads:
Toby, I just loved watching you play with your friends Amy and Sally. You were all so intent on watching Humphrey B. Bear on stage at the Sunbury Fair, but you made sure you stuck by your friends and helped each other to sing and dance along with Humphrey. You are all so cute when you play together and this makes me so happy to see. March 2006

Journalling:
Toby and Ryan spent the day outside helping Mummy clean up the backyard. We had been to Bunnings to stock up on some tools for the garden and the boys wanted to get it all out and use it! We even found some kid-sized gardening gloves so they used them to pick up all the leaves that were in our backyard. Seeing it's Autumn, there were leaves everywhere!

This is my DS4 at Kinder this May for a Mother's Day celebration. We had our feet soaked with bath salts, they rubbed luscious hand creme into our hands and they even had some perfume to spray on us. DS sort of overdosed on it all so I was a bit smelly and slippery when I left...but the kids all had so much fun pampering their Mummy's!

And finally, Digiridoo Scraps is officially up and running now after we had our Grand Opening Celebrations last week and now we're looking for a few more CT gals, so if you'd like to apply, here's the ad or you can click on the image to take you to the Digiridoo Forum for more details.

New look for my blog

Some of you may know that I was originally a paper scrapbooker and thus I have another blog called Creations From The Heart where I originally posted all my paper scrapbooking and stamping projects.  Now that I mainly do digital and hybrid, I have decided not to update the Creations From The Heart blog anymore as most of what I do is going onto this blog anyways.  It's just easier to maintain the one blog so you'll notice a few changes around here.  I've added all my paper scrapbooking and stamping links into this blog's sidebar too so all my readers can come to the one spot which hopefully makes it easier.  So if you had my Creations From The Heart blog bookmarked or in your feeds or reader, you may want to remove it.  The other blog will remain there but it won't be updated after today.

Thanks for stopping by :)

Digiridoo Scraps is having server issues!

Not what we'd hoped for during our Grand Opening celebrations, but the hosts servers are down and out so you may find it difficult getting onto the site at the moment.  We have contacted them and they are trying to rectify things but it's a little bit slow at the moment or just timing out, so please persist as we'll be back soon!

EDITED TO ADD:   the hosting issues are all resolved and the site has been up and running all day!
